Qualified by more than 25 years experience in law enforcement and as a Private Investigator in Chicago, Illinois and Wisconsin. Retired from the Chicago Police Department in 1994 ending a 25-year career as a homicide detective. A solid knowledge of the Criminal Justice System, coupled with investigative skills and courtroom experience. The ability to locate and interview witnesses, accurate reporting and a good working relationship with both prosecution and defense attorneys.

Chicago Police Department – Chicago, Illinois

Detective – Area 5 Violent Crimes (1985 – 1994)

Managed and coordinated homicide and sexual assault investigations. Responsible for identifying the offenders and preparing cases for the successful prosecution in the courtroom.
Responsible for the investigation of police involved shootings.
While working as a homicide and a sex crimes investigator, perfecting techniques in interviewing victims and witnesses.

Gang Crimes Unit (1982 – 1985)

As a civilian dressed officer, charged with investigating violent crimes and narcotic trafficking of gang members with emphasis on putting together cases against gang leaders. Responsible for confiscating large quantities of weapons, narcotics and profits from these illegal activities.

Tactical Officer (1972 – 1982)

Responsible for all in-progress violent crimes within a district and the immediate follow-up of these crimes that often resulted in the arrest and charging of the wanted offenders. Compiled crime patterns, identified career criminals, conducted surveillance, executed search warrants and sting operations.

Uniformed Patrol (1971 – 1972)

Routine patrol operations in one of the cities highest crime rate areas. Conducted preliminary investigations and wrote reports that led to the arrest and conviction of misdemeanants and felons.
