In 2004 Troy Kindt was arrested in DuPage County for First Degree Murder in the death of Nickolaus Artman. He was found not guilty of First Degree Murder, Aggravated Battery and Obstruction of Justice charges. This was the first time in more then 10 years that the DuPage jury has acquitted a defendant of first-degree murder charges.

In 2001 Evan Zimmerman was convicted and sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Kathy Thompson in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. PI Dorsch had been retained to assist with his trial defense in this case. After the sentencing, PI Dorsch believing in his client's innocence continued to investigate the case. He involved the University of Wisconsin Innocence Project and continued to work with them to prove Zimmerman's innocence. In 2004 the Wisconsin State Supreme Court overturned his guilty verdict and ordered a new trial. In April 2004 the case again went to court with attorneys from the Innocence Project representing Evan Zimmerman. In the fifth day of the trial the Eau Claire District Attorney dismissed the charges against him with prejudice. In 2006 Scott Isaacson, a pharmacist in Eau Claire, Wisconsin was arrested and charged in the death of his wife, Dr. Susan Momont. He was accused of causing the overdose death of his wife. He was charged with First Degree Reckless Homicide and maintaining a drug trafficking location. He faced a maximum 25 years in prison. In 2008 Isaacson used an Alford plea, maintaining his innocence but acknowledging he could be convicted by a jury based on the evidence presented by prosecutors.
Under the plea agreement, prosecutors agreed to reduce his sentencing from previous offers. He pleads guilty to 2nd Degree Reckless Conduct a class D felony and sentenced to two years in prison and five years supervision.

24 May 2008 [Back to Top]In 2008 a federal jury found five of six reputed Aurora street gang members responsible for conspiracy in a spate of killings in 2002 leaving them facing possible life sentences. PI Dorsch had been retained by defense attorneys for Steven Susinka to investigate this case. As a result of this trial Steven Susinka was the only defendant not found guilty of the killings. He remains in custody awaiting sentencing for a conviction for racketeering.

09 January 2008 [Back to Top]In 2006 Craig Schlapprizzi, Mike Rabil and Anthony Sansone were arrested and charged after a fight outside a restaurant in an upscale Chicago neighborhood. All three were charged with Aggravated Battery and Battery due to the serious injuries to one of the persons involved in the fight. In 2007 a bench trail was held at which time all charges against Mike Rabil and Anthony Sansone were dropped. The remaining defendant, Craig Schlapprizzi was found guilty of battery and sentenced to three years supervision.
1968 Abandoned Baby Case Solved
21 August 2003 [Back to Top]In 1968 in Red Wing, Minnesota an abandoned newborn baby boy was found in a city sewer. The mother of that baby was never identified until 2003. At that time I had been retained by an attorney who represented his client in a custody case. My investigation uncovered this long ago unsolved crime. My investigation led me to locate witnesses and identify the mother of the baby boy. The case was then turned over to the local police and the District Attorney for prosecution. The incident is to be profiled on the Opra Winfrey Show.

19 September 2006 [Back to Top]In 2006 a Downers Grove woman was arrested and charged with Theft by Deception of more then $30,000.00. Retained by her attorney to investigate I was able to learn that the wrong woman had been identified and charged. All charges against her were dropped.

26 May 2006 [Back to Top]In January 2006 a woman walked into the 25th District of the Chicago Police Department and reported that she had been the victim of an Armed Robbery. Chicago detectives assigned began an investigation that led to the defendant being identified from photos as the offender in this incident. My investigation gained evidence to believe that the incident never occurred. A bench trial was held that resulted in the judge dismissing all charges against the defendant.

10 October 2008 [Back to Top]In 2006, Susan Ryan and a co-defendant, Mary Williams were arrested and charged in Lake County with Unlawful Financial Exploitation of an Elderly Person and Criminal Neglect of an elderly person. Both defendants were registered nurses who had been in the care of a prominent Lake County citizen for many years. It had been alleged that they had worked together to misappropriate a large amount of money and to change the will of the elderly patient in their care.
I was retained to investigate the matter for Susan Ryan's attorney. In 2008, after reviewing the case and defendants investigative reports, the States Attorney from Lake County dismissed all charges against Susan Ryan. Mary Williams remains charged and is awaiting trial.

Somerset, WI Police Chief, Rick Pfaff
18 May 2002 [Back to Top]In 2001 I was retained by the President of the Somerset Village Board and the attorney for the board to begin a covert investigation into the activities of the Chief of Police and his officers. My investigation stemmed from allegations of drinking with minors and skinny dipping. My investigation led to the resignation of police chief, Rick Pfaff. He was eventually charged with state and federal crimes. After an open review of my investigation before the Village Board almost all full time and part time officers and supervisors were terminated. Among the crimes uncovered were the selling of confiscated weapons and narcotics and the taking of large quantities of confiscated alcohol and beer from the police storage which were later sold at taverns and strip clubs owned by several of the officers.

03 March 2001 [Back to Top]In 2000 I was retained by the attorney for Mary Krueger who had been charged in the murder of her husband. My investigation led to the dismissal of charges against her and the arrest and prosecution of another woman for the murder.
